i took just under 200 photos tonight.
this is one of the best.
this is how it came out of the camera.
raw and un-edited.
expect to see more like this soon... i just have to sift through the other 199 photos.
i tried it with a white border, but the black makes it "pop" a tad more.

We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you  the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. Perhaps though it would have benefitted from ND grad filter too. There's now some burned out areas close to sun. Not badly, but slight, like 1 stop, nd grad might have helped it a bit.
Also I really would like to see post-processed version then (well, naturally it's a bit since you've put it through converter, since there really isn't unedited photo). Just slight increase of contrast with curves might do wonders here.

thanks for the comment and fave, the thing i actually thought was the main downside to this photo is the no real central point of focus. like if there was a boat or something to look at, it feels a bit empty to me but still quite pleasing to the eye.
